ALM Works loves its history. After all, who doesn't love a scrappy underdog tale of success? We started 17 years ago as a small development team, and now we're a top seller on Atlassian's world-spanning marketplace. But we have to admit, we've changed a lot lately.
There wasn't one single milestone or breakthrough — or one big break with the past — but if you look back, it's obvious that our company has had a big evolutionary leap.
Count the changes: A fast-growing team (nearly 100 strong), the rapid transformation of our products (have you seen the blistering pace of our cloud updates?), and new accomplishments (ALM Works: Now on the Inc 5000 list!). New events, new ways to connect, and other initiatives we still have hiding up our sleeve.
Our team can feel the energy of the moment, and now it's time to reflect that energy outward — to our customers, prospects, partners and friends — with a new look.
Our key symbol — the representation of who we are and what we want to accomplish — contains a cyclical pattern within our characteristic purple "α." It's strong, memorable, and reflective of how we're endlessly pursuing results.
This captures our tireless curiosity and energy, and how we're engaged in a positive back-and-forth cycle of interaction with our customers and other users in the marketplace:
This is where our best ideas come from, and helping customers succeed is our primary source of motivation and joy in what we do.
Importantly, you can still see continuity between our new logo and our previous iteration. Our core values have always driven us — we have always worked to empower project managers by engaging with them on their own needs, pain points and goals. No matter where we go, and how much we evolve, we will stay true to those roots. But our bolder, condensed new logo conveys a fresh energy and focus toward that cycle of interaction.
Want to look for our apps or extensions? We've created a visual system that connects these powerful solutions with each other in a way that is concise, modern, and easy to perceive. These images echo the functionality of the solutions themselves, as well as continuity with each other. Each brings its own unique value to our product family, yet they are connected by the same core values and goals that drive our company overall.
All our materials now reflect the style we want to convey. We've selected the font Rational to focus on clarity and simplicity, while being functional and flexible — just like our solutions.
As CEO Igor Sereda put it: "The new look and feel conveys our mission — the flexibility and agility, the dynamic approach to solving problems, the multi-faceted expertise in project management. This is part of our evolution as a company, as we grow our team, expand our market, and find new challenges to tackle."
