Horizontal scrolling for Structure, Gantt widgets for Jira & Confluence, and more. Structure 5.0 and Structure.Gantt 1.2 are full of new features and enhancements that customers have been asking for. Read on to learn more about these new releases.

Structure 5.0

Here’s a rundown of the new usability and flexibility improvements in our flagship product.

Horizontal Scrolling (scroll, baby, scroll).

In previous versions of Structure, column capacity was limited by the size of Structure viewing pane. Some customers found it challenging to comfortably fit all of the desired columns on their screen. A small monitor or the Double-Grid view would leave users squinting, adjusting column width, zooming out, or reconfiguring.

Now Structure behaves more like Microsoft Excel — with horizontal scrolling action that you can enable or disable as you see fit. You can add as many columns as your project requires, and adjust those columns to a comfortable width.

Some convenient attributes of this new feature are:

• The Summary column will stay pinned as you scroll, so you can always keep track of your issue.
• You can easily enable this feature with the new Horizontal scrolling toggle, or turn it off when you need all your columns visible on a single screen.
• You can save your Horizontal scrolling settings together with a particular view under Details > Properties.

Work Logged

Now you have the added flexibility to see total Work Logged by Jira users, Roles or Groups. Previously, only work logged by Jira users was visible in a structure.

Manual Adjustments to Generated Structures

We’re breaking down the barriers between manually-created and generated (automated) structures.

In previous versions of Structure, the business rules used to generate an automated structure would limit the ways you could move or add items within your structure. With the new Manual Adjustments feature, you can move items anywhere you need them.

Users with Control access to a structure can enable manual adjustments.

This allows you to adjust the order and hierarchy of automatically inserted issues, create new folders within them or add issues that aren’t captured with by the automation rules. Certain manual changes won’t be reflected in Jira, but you can easily spot those with a friendly Manual Adjustment icon.

Structure.Gantt 1.2

There are two key new features in Structure.Gantt that we'd like to highlight. Here’s a rundown:

• Exporting to PDF and SVG — now it’s possible to quickly export your Gantt charts to a presentation, web page or PDF for quick printing.

• Add Gantt charts to Jira dashboards and Confluence pages — now you can embed your Gantt charts in documentation and dashboards for quick access.

Existing Structure.Gantt customers are excited, to say the least.
