This plugin is a complimentary add-on to the YourKit Profiler for profiling JIRA.

YourKit is an advanced Java profiler that can help you identify CPU bottlenecks and memory leaks, and dissect a snapshot of the process memory and CPU profiles to find performance problems.

This plugin can help you easily load YourKit profiler agent into a running JIRA and collect performance or memory snapshot - without JIRA restart. This is especially valuable if you don't have direct access to the JIRA instance - have JIRA administrator install the plugin, collect performance snapshot and send it back to you.

Although this plugin is free, the YourKit profiler is a commercial product. You can get a free evaluation license at YourKit website.

Optimizing performance is hard! This plugin can help you collect the information, but in no way it guarantees that you succeed in solving a problem.
