Deskzilla 1.3 Released
April 20, 2007
Today we are glad to announce the release of Deskzilla 1.3, available now for download from ALM Works web site.
This is an intermediate version on our path to Deskzilla 2.0, planned to be released later this year. It adds several new features imported from another our product, JIRA Client. We have also introduced ALM Platform, a Java-based framework for building ALM applications, which is the basis for Deskzilla, JIRA Client and all our future developments.
Following is the list of new features in Deskzilla 1.3:
- Performance improvements;
- New issue details view;
- Tabular distribution that allows to break down issues by two attributes;
- Hierarchy view based on depends/blocks;
- New distribution dialog with filters and grouping for e-mails;
- Improved component for selecting user;
- Drag-and-drop bug to collection;
- Query reordering with drag-and-drop;
- Automatic naming of simple queries;
- Bug table columns auto-fit;
- Support for alternative status names;
- Support for personal and site licenses;
- Other minor improvements.
To try the new version now, download Windows, Linux or Mac edition. Starting from Deskzilla 1.3, there's no need to request evaluation license key.
Along with this release, we have changed Deskzilla pricing and introduced personal and site licenses. Personal license allows individual users to purchase Deskzilla with only basic support for $65. Site license allows companies to let anyone use Deskzilla to work with their Bugzilla server for $4,800, regardless of the number of users.
