Today we announce the release of the Virtual Bugzilla Server, a virtual machine with pre-installed Bugzilla bug tracking system. This compilation of open-source software based on technology from VMWare, Inc. allows to save hours or even days of effort often required to install Bugzilla.

Virtual Bugzilla Server is a free downloadable zip file that contains a virtual machine (VM) with pre-installed Bugzilla. It takes advantage of the technology provided by VMWare, Inc. that allows an operating system to run as a standard application on your computer. To run the virtual machine one needs to get VMWare Player, freely available from the VMWare website.

Virtual Bugzilla Server VM contains tuned Linux OS with Apache httpd server, MySQL database and Bugzilla code - all ready to run. The whole system is packed into 42 megabyte archive.
