Today we have released JIRA Client 3.6.2, a patch version that fixes a compatibility problem with the updated JIRA Cloud instances.
Additional actions are required on upgrade if you had compatibility issues with JIRA Cloud — see below.
Recent update of JIRA Cloud changed the names of user permissions. This change has blocked most of JIRA Client's editing features including editing issues, editing and deleting comments, uploading work logs and attachments.
The new version of JIRA Client fixes this compatibility issue and now all editing features work as usual.
The upgrade is essential for anyone using JIRA Cloud. A license with active maintenance is required to upgrade.
Right now the upgrade is not required for anyone not using JIRA Cloud. This might change with the next JIRA release though.
The upgrade procedure is a bit different:
If after upgrade some issue still cannot be edited, also try using Right Click | Reload All Details on that issue.
