As the head of QA for ALM Works, I needed a quick, easy way to record results from my team’s testing checklists. Sadly, there wasn’t a tool on the market that really worked. So I asked our developers to add a customized column to my structure, and that’s how Structure.Testy (version 0) was born.
If you’re already familiar with Structure you know that it’s handy for processes you repeat - just deploy a new structure from a custom, purpose-built template. This is especially great for Agile testing, when you have a codified checklist of tasks covering every piece of your QA puzzle.
Structure.Testy allows you to add a special Test Run Column to any Structure. Pick a few settings, and that’s it! Now your tests are in full color. Add a Test Run column for every version, browser, or OS you’re rocking.
Test results can be recorded with a single click. It doesn’t get simpler than this.
Intuitive color-coding keeps the blockers front-and-center. Jira system admins can create custom statuses and color codes, too.
You asked, we listened! In the most recent version of Structure.Testy, you can filter for certain test results. Looking for tests that haven’t been run? Failed tests? Now it’s simple to narrow down your focus and look at only the tests that need some attention.
Ready to jump on the Structure.Testy train? Download it here from the Atlassian Marketplace. If you still need Structure to make it work, grab a free trial here first. My team loves it, I hope yours does too.
Pro tip: if you’ve already got a lot of in-flight testing to bring into Structure, use the power of a generator to instantly include any test issues that match your JQL. Happy testing!
