We've just released a new extension to the Structure add-on for JIRA. It's called Structure.Testy and it turns Structure into a flexible and lightweight testing tool for JIRA.
Important: Testy is a plugin for our Structure plugin. In order to use it, you will need to have JIRA with Structure already installed.
Testy is extremely simple to use and doesn't require any kind of configuration. You just install it via the UPM in JIRA and it's ready to go. It adds a new 'Test run' column type to Structure, in which you can set and store test results for structured issues.
Just add a column for each test run
With Testy, any structure of issues can become a test plan within a few seconds. All you need to do is create a test run column in the structure board and start recording your test results. The documentation includes some examples to help you get started.
Testy is ideal when you don't need automation or other heavyweight test management functionality. It was originally built for our own testing purposes, and it's designed to be as fast and as easy to use as possible.
Stay tuned to find out why we decided to release Testy as an extension for Structure instead of including it in the core product.
