    • JIRA Client Patch 1.0.2 Is Released
March 28, 2007

JIRA Client Patch 1.0.2 Is Released

Today we are glad to announce the second patch to the first version of JIRA Client. This patch contains fixes for 12 bugs found since the last version, introduces partial support for issue deletion and also has more fault-tolerant "move issue" action.

Now, when an issue is deleted in JIRA, you can also have it removed in JIRA Client by requesting "download query from server" or by picking up individual issues and requesting download. JIRA Client is still not able to automatically pick up issue deletion events from server because it's currently not possible to build such query for JIRA.

Moving issues has been supported in JIRA Client for quite a time, but it proved to be prone to various JIRA configuration peculiarities. When move happens, issue's fields may undergo arbitrary changes. This was causing "edit conflicts" or upload errors in prior versions. In JIRA Client 1.0.2 we relaxed strict checks for consistent changes in favor of functionality. If you have experienced problems with moving issues earlier, please try it with the latest version, and let us know if it doesn't work.

Upgrade is recommended for all users. To upgrade, download and install JIRA Client 1.0.2. As usual, it is a good idea to back up your workspace before installation.

Fixed in this release (change log):

  • In certain cases move issue can cause conflicts or errors;
  • #457 Partially support issue deletion;
  • #391 Don't show archived versions when changing an issue;
  • #390 Released versions are sorted in reverse order;
  • #435 Entering incorrect password for a username when JIRA auth is LDAP-based causes account lock in ADS;
  • #401 Move issue fails on JIRA 3.7 because of a bug in JIRA (workaround implemented);
  • #423 User names with non-ascii symbols are not sent to the server properly, causing "login failed";
  • #434 Server fails with HTTP 500 on a second attempt to create a bug with "-" symbol in the summary field;
  • #402 JIRA Client does not verify that Priority field has been changed by edit action;
  • #436 Clear per-issue workflow actions if issue's project/type changes;
  • #475 Hold off app start until all enums are loaded;
  • #389 Don't add ".0" to values in decimal fields in Edit dialog;
  • #471 Exception: CCE: java.lang.String cannot be cast to z.gfz;
  • Few other exception fixed.
