Today we release JIRA Client 3.0.2, which contains a fix for OnDemand login issues and several fixes for custom fields.
Recently, Atlassian has upgraded several JIRA OnDemand instances, breaking login functionality for remote applications like JIRA Client. While we were fixing the problem and working on this release, Atlassian temporarily reverted the breaking changes. However, soon they are restoring these changes, so previous JIRA Client releases won't be able to log in. We recommend all JIRA OnDemand users to upgrade.
We have added support for several custom fields that come from JIRA plugins, including JIRA Enhancer Plugin. Some of these custom fields were supported in JIRA Client 2.x, but not in 3.0; we return those ones back. We have also fixed problems with uploading custom field values of types Date and Date Time.
For more details, see the list of resolved issues in our JIRA.
If you are upgrading from JIRA Client 3.0 or 3.0.1:
Otherwise, follow the instructions for upgrading from JIRA Client 2.x or earlier.
If your JIRA has JIRA Client plugin installed, you'll need a Marketplace version which can be obtained via the download link in your user profile menu in the top right corner of any JIRA web page.
Non-marketplace license users can download JIRA Client or JIRA Client Lite on the main download page. You can use JIRA Client in a free 30-day trial mode or with any old-style team license with an active maintenance subscription. JIRA Client Lite may be used freely with any JIRA server running on a Starter license, or with a JIRA server that hosts a sponsored open-source project.
We appreciate your feedback! Contact us by e-mail or raise an issue in our JIRA.
