Today we have released version 2.1 of our virtual appliance with Mozilla's Bugzilla bug tracking system. This release contains the latest versions of Bugzilla and Testopia, system updates and several other improvements.

Change list / updated software:

• Bugzilla 3.0.1;
• Testopia 1.3 Beta 2 (over a separate Bugzilla 3.0);
• Upgraded system packages, Apache and MySQL;
• Fixed problem with JSON package in Testopia;
• Installed VMWare Tools in the VM.

As always, we tried to keep download size as small as possible, but due to the inclusion of VMWare Tools it has increased to 86 megabytes. After you download the distribution, it is still a matter of a couple of minutes to get your new Bugzilla server ready.

Upgrading from a previous version is not a trivial task though — you'll need to move data and configuration from the old server to the new server. Please follow upgrade instructions and don't forget to make backups.

A note for Testopia users: the new version of Testopia is still beta, so before completely switching to the new version, please check if it works for you. As before, you'll need to download an additional package and install it over the core VBS 2.1.
